Travelers, Better Options!
I had high hopes staying here. This is a very old house. Let me begin by saying that I moved in to find no vacuum nor mop in the home. I asked for one because I like to keep my home very clean. A very flimsy vacuum was sent over. I guess it did the trick. I did find full trash outside which has happened before. No big deal. I took it to the curb on the next trash pickup day. My cat and I were without AC for several days during the summer. A repair person had to come out more than once to fix the issue. The landlord did offer to put me in a hotel but I was trying to be fair and I was patient and stayed in the house. There was an issue with the master bath 2 times. Twice the handles broke. I couldn't even shower in the master bath the last few days of my stay, I had to use the guest bath. The rubber on the washing machine has mold on it as well. It smelled awful the entire time I was there. I was also expected to be ok with a stranger touring the inside of the property while I was living there. I have always been given the professional courtesy of privacy in previous locations. Upon leaving, that 'refundable' deposit was not returned for absurd reasons. The landlord should have asked for a cleaning fee for the expectations that they had. It seems to me that a basic move out clean was not something they ever intended to do. Your lease will be picked apart, line by line. I have stayed in many many houses over my years as a traveler and this was my only bad experience. I highly caution you to seek housing elsewhere because you will be taken advantage of.
