Great stay!

I had a really great stay here! The studio space was clean, comfortable, and exactly what I was looking for. The landlord was super kind, welcoming, attentive, and easy to communicate with throughout the entire stay! They genuinely care about their guests and the space itself. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful and enjoyable place to stay.

Felt like home from day one

We originally planned to stay for only 3 months, but we ended up staying for more than 7 because of how comfortable and cozy this cottage felt. It truly has everything you need and quickly started to feel like home. The street parking is easy, and the location is very convenient, with quick access to the freeway and public transportation nearby. The furniture and appliances are all very practical and comfortable, and for two people it was absolutely perfect. Rian and their partner were very kind, welcoming, and always attentive whenever we had any questions or needed anything. The garden is also beautiful, and we especially loved the lemon tree with its delicious lemons. There are lovely restaurants nearby, and the neighborhood has beautiful ocean views that make the area even more special. We would absolutely recommend staying here.

I rented Rian's cottage for a little over three months during my extended visit to UC Berkeley during the Fall semester of 2024. This was a superb place to stay: the cottage itself was extremely clean, private, and well-furnished, Rian was an excellent and hospitable landlord, and the surrounding town of Albany was friendly and easily accessible. I had no trouble taking the bus from UC Village to Berkeley most days, and I found it easy to get around via public transportation, as I didn't have a car during my stay. A couple added bonuses were a *very* nice view of the shoreline, beach, and Bay by the Albany Bulb (about a 15-20 minute walk), great food in the surrounding areas, and a cottage stocked full of amenities such as a huge fridge, comfy bed, and TV. Rian was also extremely kind -- he even helped mail a rather heavy package to me that came a bit late after I checked out and was back in New York City. Overall, I highly recommend!!

Cozy Cottage, Great Location

Great spot for a short-term rental. Clean, private, quiet, and everything worked as advertised. Bed was comfortable, appliances were all in excellent shape, and WiFi was strong. Good location close to restaurants and easy freeway access. Owners were friendly and responsive. Would stay again without hesitation next time I'm in the area.

Highly Recommend!! Safe, Quiet, & Cozy Cottage

I stayed at Rian's cottage ADU while I was visiting UC Berkeley, and it was a fantastic experience. The location is super convenient - public transit to the university from the nearby "UC Village" made getting to campus by bus super easy and it was also a quick drive by car with easy access to I-580/I-80. Street parking was easy, there was always spots available in the evening and I felt very safe. The cottage is tucked away in the gated backyard of the main house. I had lots of privacy and it was very quiet. At first, I was worried that being near the highway might mean it was noisy but it had great noise insulation. The inside had everything I needed, a full sized fridge, comfy bed, reliable wifi, and the in-unit laundry was a huge plus! The heater was perfect for the winter months. There was also a lot to do nearby, going for walks at the shoreline by the bay or going out to eat on Solano avenue. Highly recommend!! -Melissa
