wonderfully peaceful summer retreat

We stayed at Kathy and Edgars place from mid may through sept 3rd. They are great hosts and new friends. Very responsive to whatever needs you might have and a wealth of information about the grass valley area as far as sights, hiking trails, summer events, restaurants, etc. The home is comfortably appointed and very welcoming. The Washer and dryer worked great. A/C keeps the house very comfortable, even during the unusually hot days this past summer. The california king bed is very, very comfortable. The bunk beds in the 2nd bedroom are as well. It was nice to have 2 bathrooms, each with a tub/shower combo. The queen size sofa-bed in the living room, kitchen flooring and the carpeting in the other rooms were all updated this past April. The deck runs the length of the house facing the Tahoe area in the distance. Living in Tucson we don't get to be around trees much and it was so relaxing to sit out in the morning and look out through the oaks and pines and down the hill. It's surprisingly quiet being that it is in a neighborhood. Everything is within 8-15 minute drive. There is also and brand new Grill and b-ball hoop over the garage. If we weren't in the process of building a tiny home, we'd be staying here every summer while our granddaughter is growing up. It's a great place with great hosts. We highly recommend!
