Beautiful 3 bed / 2 Bath House in Redding

Great find!

I was lucky enough to stumble upon this listing, and i really stepped into a wonderful housing situation. I had been hesitant to rent a room before because i was concerned how the home dynamic would be with a complete stranger, but i changed my search filters due to troubles finding housing. Not only was this listing way more affordable than anything else i found, but to get the master bedroom in a beautiful house absolutely blew away my expectations. Irina, the owner, i found was very easy to get along with. Communication was never a problem, and to live in a house with a well trained dog was just a bonus for me! The house itself was located in a nice, quiet neighborhood in a cul-de-sac area. This listing had everything i needed, and even had things i didn't know i needed (sauna!) i was so sad to have left, and I've been searching for this type of listing ever since. I'm not sure they even exist, this was certainly a diamond in the rough

Mixed feelings

Pros: Great location, tons of space, incredibly comfortable bed and huge TV. Beautiful outdoor space with a chair and small table. Very pet friendly with a fenced in yard. Cons: there were many things in the listing that were missing; Dishwasher (not functioning), bathroom cleaning products, linens (outside of bedding), hair dryer, and starter toiletries. The listing says a quiet environment however the landlords and neighbors dogs bark incessantly and are often left alone for long periods of time. Multiple attempts were made to find an agreed upon temperature between both the landlord and myself to have a comfortable temperature in the house during my stay. Unfortunately my room ended up being around 78-82 degrees the entire summer I was there. I did end up staying because the price made it worth it, however I don't think I would stay again.
