Terrible landlord

Walking distance from a grocery store which is nice. Felt safe but a few homeless people not too far away. The landlord was nice to let us use his washer and drier in the basement. However, it was very hard to get responses from him when we had no heat in the house for weeks and his solution was to give us more blankets. My roommates and I were chill about it and delt with it even tho we couldve made a bigger deal about it- but ended up buying our own space heaters. And in return, the landlord didnt give us the security deposit back within the 30 days- which is illegal. When we finally did get it back, he kept some of it without a reason and he ghosted us ever since. If we didnt move out of state, we wouldve taken him to court. Super unprofessional. I wouldnt recommend him for a rental over 1 week longIm sure he can get away with very short term rentals since he cant steal their deposits and go on vacation, while his upstairs tenants live in 40 degree temps.

Do NOT rent. difficult landlord to work with!!

This place has the basics that you would need for a short/long term stay. It is in a decent location that is close to multiple parks. About 8 minutes from Renown However the landlord is difficult to get a hold of. We had issues with the heater multiple times and left for a total of about 5 weeks w/o heat in the middle of winter. Texted him multiple days with thermostat showing that the house was in the 40s with no response. Then he leaves the country without fixing the heat. He had only provided us with a few extra blankets, but we ended up buying extra space heaters but he was complaining that the electric bill was higher than usual. After moving out, we reached out regarding our security deposit. He illegally held money from the security deposit without disclosing charges and failed to dispute the deposit within 30 days of move out date. Overall the place is decent but not worth the frustrations of dealing with this unprofessional landlord that is too busy to tend to his tenants

We had so much fun here!

My family and I stayed here during our trip to Reno to visit in-laws. Kids had a blast playing all the games in the basement. Mom and I had so many romantic nights outside at the firepit. We are going to be staying here every year! George was a great host, highly recommend!
