Outstanding!

This apartment in West Haven was absolutely outstanding. The location could not have been better; right on the beach with beautiful views and easy access to great local dining and restaurants. It was the perfect combination of peaceful waterfront living while still being close to everything. For anyone working at Yale New Haven Hospital, the commute was incredibly convenient. Having parking for two vehicles was also a huge bonus and made day-to-day living stress-free. The landlords were truly exceptional. They were responsive, kind, and addressed every need quickly and professionally. Its rare to find hosts who care this much about their tenants comfort and experience. The apartment was clean, comfortable, well-furnished, and felt like home from day one. I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing, convenient, and reliable place to stay in the New Haven/West Haven area.

BEWARE !!!

I would NOT recommend this apartment if you value peace and fairness. While the unit and view are appealing, the positives end there. My lease listed a 9/1/2025 move-in date, but the landlords delayed it to 9/5/2025 while still charging a full month’s rent. The landlords live on-site, making it feel like you’re in their space rather than your own. Their 5 dogs bark frequently, and the yard is often unclean. They regularly hosted guests, creating ongoing noise and disruption. A major issue was parking: my lease included two spaces, but the landlords often used them, violating the agreement. When I chose to leave early due to these issues, they kept my $2,400 security deposit. Additionally, my unit lacked hot water for several weekends, while theirs did not, and the problem was never fixed before I moved out. Overall, the experience showed a lack of respect for tenants, lease terms, and consideration.

Great area and place to stay!

I thoroughly enjoyed the location and area I stayed during my contract. The location was quiet with timely access to the highway without the noise. Tasteful and reasonably priced food and gas are a mere <5 minute walk away from the front door. Not to forget to mention how safe the area is in comparison to other areas around New Haven. Rachielle and Angel are fantastic landlady and lord that ensured my stay to be comfortable. Any concerns were addressed and communication was prompt. Especially when I was in dire need of a place of stay close to my contract. Their lodging itself was aesthetically pleasing while being incredibly functional. My cats and I found comfort with enough room to play down the hallway. Plenty of room to play hide-and-seek. This residence is high on my recommendation list. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did!

Great place to stay!

My husband and I stayed in the basement of the house. It had everything we needed. The fenced in yard is SO perfect- it was great with our dog. This house is also walking distance to a couple restaurant's in a good part of town. The landlords are super friendly and responsive. Id stay here again!

Highly recommend

I was new to Connecticut and a little nervous about downtown New Haven, but Rachel made my move so much easier by FaceTiming me and answering all my questions beforehand. Angel was wonderful too, especially during snow days, offering safety tips about the city that made me feel like I had family nearby. My apartment was cozy and had everything I needed for both summer and winter. Its pet-friendly, and they were AMAZING with my dog, Mikey. The beach behind the house is dog-friendly, and the neighbors are great. There are plenty of restaurants within walking distance and stores like Trader Joes and Costco nearby. During the winter, the roads and driveway were always salted and cleared, and parking was included. I felt completely safe, which meant a lot as a single woman traveling with her dog. Rachel and Angel truly provided a comfortable, welcoming place to call home. Highly recommend!

Paradise!

Best place in New Haven! The owners have done a wonderful job in making sure youre comfortable and that you have all the needed essentials such cookware, linens, and WiFi/tv. Theres free parking on the property. The apartment consist of the entire 1st floor of the home. There is a separated entrance and a large private porch. The owners and property are pet-friendly. The owners have their own sweet dog babies that befriended my Toy-poodle mix. The backyard is fenced in with an above-ground pool with the beach in walking distance. Paradise for your off days!

Perfect place on the water!

I have been traveling for 3 1/2 years and this is one of my favorite places I have ever stayed!! Rachelle and Angel are so kind and helpful. They even let my dog out for me a couple times! The views are amazing of the water and the patio is perfect for a late night drink or early morning coffee. Everything was updated and pristinely clean. Would HIGHLY recommend this place!!
