Amazingly Place

The home was absolutely wonderful and the company around is even better. I had a great couple of months staying here

(THE TRUTH) No ill feelings whatsoever, but I wish I had someone to write a review that would have saved me some time from going forward to renting here. I was looking to rent from Mrs. Caroline for about 5 mths. It is a very nice neighborhood and her dog is well trained and she is very nice. However, of you are looking to have privacy this isnt the place. I was initially offered to rent her room and O truned it down bc I did not want to take her space. Mrs. C informed me that she had a place down stairs that had a kitchen and a shower that she'd be sharing with another tenant. It was yhe only reason I agreed. That changed when i got there. She told me that she takes showers twic a day inwhich she began to take showers in the bathroom where i was renting. I was then asked to leave the bedroom door open in order for her dog to roam freely bc she says the dog likes to sleep in the closet where i was renting. When i had spoke up and said id rather keep the door close bc my things were out the next day she had a talk with me saying she thinks I do not like her dog. I also had a cat that i explained that is a house cat and i only allow her out of the room when i am at home and that she also is territorial and not kind to other animals. While i was at work she told me she let MY cat out. She also sent pictures of my cat out as well as her dog in the room while she and her cleaning lady cleaned out her closet of the room I was renting. She sent pics of my cat and said I hope this makes you happy and smile. No it did not bc what i requested was not respected. Also, my sinuses were acting up worse bc you are not allowed to touch the thermostat. So i had bought a fan to blow on me while i was asleep bc i'd sweat at night. She mesntioned that Id be able to move into another room once the kther room mate left. However, that room is right in the front by the entrance and has sliding doors where you are not able to lock the door. She also mentioned how the other tenant leaves a mess on his bathroom counter and go and straigten it out incase she has company bc they like to use the bathroom that he is renting out (no privacy). I should not have known how the kther tenant leaves or keeps his bathroom. That is his personal space. He is paying for that space as was I. It seemed more she was looking for company but not a tenant. When i get off from work i like to wind down and have my space. I ahd to keep wondering when she was going to want to come in the room and her dog. The home os nice looking and clean. For aome reason there are alot of knats. Also, dont forget to read the house rules when you get there. All this happened within two weeks of me getting there and plus more. I decided to move into another place where i am absolutely having my own space, kitchen, can adjust the thermostat, have my own bathroom and pet friendly. Ms. C is pretty nice I just thinks she doesn't truly understand what it means to rent out private space. For those who are good with that, Awesome. Its not for everyone, but those who are looking for your own space then this review is for you.

Private room in St. Charles

Owner is friendly and respects your privacy. Friendly dog that is trained. Room has sleep number bed which is comfortable. Location is close to everything you could think of; 5-10 minute drive to any store/restaurant! Location is quiet and felt very safe for younger travel professionals.

Like none other

This was my very first travel assignment and I had the pleasure of connecting with Ms. C. From day one I knew she was meant to be in my life. I was nervous, but Ms. C made me feel very comfortable and was warm and welcoming. The home is beautiful and affordable. In the home I had my own oasis with a nice bedroom, full and beautiful bathroom. I was provided complimentary Wi-Fi, utilities included, laundry, a full size refrigerator and use of the kitchen appliances if needed. Ms. C and I have bonded and I am truly grateful for Ms. C for opening her beautiful home to me and for being so kind and respectful. I would do this journey over a thousand times only because if Ms. C.

A great room with an outstanding value!

I lived here for the last portion of 2023 through the first few months of 2024. The owner, C, is amazing. C is caring and friendly but will also be respectful of your privacy. The accommodations are worth so much more than the price! The private room is furnished and comes with a private bathroom, full size fridge, and free use of the kitchen. During my stay I provided free WiFi, laundry, and all utilities were covered and paid for by C. I was at ease with the room being in a safe neighborhood and close to numerous amenities. It is a short drive to restaurants, the college, area hospitals, gyms, shopping, and the Katy Trail. I had a piece of mind knowing I was close to main throughfares, and quick access to anything I needed. This is the ideal arrangement for staying away from home. It only has 5 stars because thats the maximum that is allowed!

Great place, great landlord

I lived with C from 2018-2023 in this location and a previous one. I have nothing but good things to say about C. There was no drama and life was very low stress. She provides a private bathroom, and fridge and free use of the kitchen on top of the private room. C has a sharing mindset that crosses over to the house. For longer term stays, I had free use of the WiFi, and laundry, plus utilities were covered by her. The neighborhood is quiet, safe and close to everything you need. If youre a college student the school is a short drive but far enough away to avoid the campus life. If youre in the medical field the hospital(s) are also close. Id recommend this location to anyone geo-baching, older college students or travel nurses. C is super friendly and caring but will also respect your privacy. Wish I could rate it higher than 5 stars because it definitely deserves more.
