Spacious and quiet

I love this place. Only if it is near my workplace, this is the place to stay. Serene and peaceful, with assigned parking space. The studio apron is so spacious and clean. The owners are very attentive to your needs. I hope someone will have a good time living here.

Nice and quiet

This place is perfect place to stay on a traveling assignment. If you are looking for something to yourself and close to getting to Metairie and New Orleans. I felt very safe and it was cozy. I am a country girl from MS so this studio apartment gave me a touch of home. Everything was sooo nice, clean, and in place. The host is very nice and caring. This is what you look for in a place while away from home.

nice area/l but Mold spores

Unfortunately my stay wasn't great either. Week one ok but once it rains bug lizards and water comes inside. The bugs weren't a bother but the roof leaked water and the bathroom floor leaked water from the floor. Didn't take a shower there an entire week and it still oozed out. The is a dangerous amount of mold spores inside. Been in the hospital twice and will be reaching out with an attorney for a refund and I'm sure other things as well. It's unfortunate because it was a nice set up for the price.

I'd like to address some of the concerns you've raised: First, we want to clarify that a mold test was conducted on the property, see attached photo from 'Pro-Lab" and no harmful mold was detected. The structure of the property does not contain sheetrock, which typically allows mold growth, and there is no water damage present in the wood exterior that could foster mold development. Regarding the roof leaks you mentioned, these were addressed and repaired while you were still on the property. We also completed the shower installation during your stay in an effort to enhance your experience. Since your departure, another guest has stayed in the property through Hurricane Helen, and I'm pleased to report that no leaks or water-related issues were observed or reported. Horrible!

The hot water only stays hot for about three minutes. The landlord acknowledged this and didn't fix it. Instead she offered me 30 dollars off of my rent to stay the whole lease. Also the bottom of the shower had dirt coming in from the outside. Bugs constantly got into the place. You can't run the ac and microwave at same time or a fuze will blow, There's an electric cord coming in from the outside into the place and connecting to the water heater. The sink is about three inches deep in the kitchen. The electric plug ins were all falling out of the walls. Definitely a nightmare of a month.

I offered a discount as an immediate attempt to make amends while I worked on a permanent solution. The shower issue was due to the cement slab residue, and I did have maintenance come into clean and fix it as soon as we were notified. Regarding the hot water issue the studio is equipped as pictured a 5gallon mini tank, which is designed for temporary efficiency accommodations. I understand this may not have met your expectations, and we apologize for any discomfort it caused. Insects can be a challenge during the summer months in Louisiana despite our regular spraying.We apologize for any distress this may have caused and will continue to enhance our pest control measures. The extension cord was a temporary measure to prevent the fuse from tripping, and additionally addressing the outlets to prevent them from becoming loose.
