Room in home
Honestly, this has to be one of the best accommodations I’ve stayed at in the last 4 years of traveling. I’m a travel RN, and stayed with Linda for 15 weeks. She’s made me feel so welcome, and at home(away from home). The room is very spacious, and has a tv, microwave, mini fridge all available. She’s willing to work with you if you need some pantry space. Her dog is the most precious thing. She doesn’t bark! She at most will “talk” with you when you come outside but quietly. Linda made sure I was very comfortable, and made me feel at home (while away from home). I hope to come back to Columbia for a visit and I hope she’s got a room availability when I do come back. Thank you again Linda for everything!
Spend the extra money and get your own place
I typically don't take the time write any reviews, but I believe this particular instance requires it.After having moved in for less than 24 hours in Linda's home, she texted me, with no explanation, that I needed to find a new place to stay. Granted I brought my dog with me, who can be very energetic and may take him a minute to adjust to new places. However, I offered to have my dog picked up the next day if he was going to be an issue, but Linda could not offer me an explanation to her sudden change of mind and wanted me out. Additionally, Linda had met my dog prior to my move-in date, and even offered to help with him after meeting him. With less than a day to the start of my clinical, I had to move out and find a new place. I would avoid renting from her, unless you want to be stuck in your room past 7 pm, as that's when she wants to have the house alarm on.
