Travel nurse stay

My travel partner and I stayed here for the duration of our contract. We found the place to be in a great location. The neighborhood is quiet. The landlord is quick to respond with any issues that come up. The driveway and sidewalk was maintained nicely during the winter months. We enjoyed the deck overlooking the backyard. The only negative we can think of is sharing the driveway can make parking tricky. Overall this was a great place to stay.

On arrival, we always inspect the home. Noticed the house had not been cleaned for many reason esp because of rat feces in the stove. I was asked for pictures as if I were lying. We were still asked for a cleaning fee two days before departure(only stayed for the month paid and had to clean the house on hour one after 15hour drive) Paid pet deposit nonrefundable that was good for 3months. Was told we can discount the clean fee for your disappointment of the couple" places missed. The beds are horrendous. Had to unplug the stove to make stovetop turn off which is very dangerous. The bath tub stopped up all the time. No dressers. Can't use garage. Only one shower. Dishwasher broken. The washer is very loud. Neighbors don't leash their angry dogs. The list goes on. Was told this is their first time using furnished finder as if we should excuse this but there is a previous review. This should not be able to be used as a listing for healthcare professionals. Be careful

Awesome

Had an awesome stay here for a month while working at MercyOne. The drive to MercyOne from here is not bad. Never encountered much traffic. Property is in a nice neighborhood. It is a duplex but never had any problems with noise from the other side which is also rented out. The kitchen, living room and bedrooms are quite large. Backyard is fenced in. I would definitely stay here again or recommend to anyone needing a place to stay in Des Moines. The landlord is awesome and is quick to respond.
