I’m so grateful to have found this place for my 4-month stay! The convenient location and super responsive, helpful host (Charles) made it a great experience for my roommate and me. I would gladly return if I’m ever in the area again!

Amazing Unit Great Host

My assignment near Tacoma General recently ended, and I had a wonderful experience staying at this property. The home is newly renovated, very comfortable, and thoughtfully set up with everything a traveler may need during their stay. The location is also very convenient, with close proximity to work, great food options, and the Tacoma Mall. The landlord, Charles, is professional, kind, and extremely responsive. Check-in and check-out were seamless, with clear instructions provided in the home, which made the entire process very easy. I only experienced one minor issue during my stay, and Charles had it resolved within the hour. Overall, this was a great experience and truly felt like a home away from home. I would absolutely stay here again if I ever take another assignment in the area and would highly recommend it to other travelers.

Reliable Host and Comfortable Stay

I had an excellent experience staying here! The location is amazing, and the home had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. I stayed for two weeks while visiting Washington with a friend, and everything went very smoothly from start to finish. The landlords were professional, transparent, and very prompt with communication. Charles provided clear instructions regarding the home, including guidelines about moving furniture, and we made sure to communicate and receive approval beforehand. We also ensured the home was left in the same condition as when we arrived. I personally did not experience any of the issues mentioned in some other reviews. Our stay was seamless, and we had no problems receiving our deposit back. Overall, it was a great experience, and I would highly recommend staying in one of Charles’ homes!

Steer Clear- sufficient unit, questionable landlord

We stayed in this unit for three months. Move-in went smoothly, but issues soon surfaced, mostly with the landlords communication and responsiveness. Early in the lease, we reported appliance problems and ants entering through the back door. These were only partially resolved, and the landlord implied the issues were our fault rather than acknowledging design flaws and rushed construction. We often received vague messages about rules and schedules that left us confused. The area was also concerning, with people sleeping in cars near the property for much of the summer. When we chose not to renew, the landlord seemed upset, so we followed the move-out checklist carefully. Despite that, he withheld our deposit in violation of Washington law and only returned it after receiving a demand letter. Based on our experience, we wouldnt recommend this rental due to the location and the landlords questionable business practices.

Incredibly unprofessional landlord experience

I am writing this review to save future tenants the headache and frustration my roommate and I endured. The space is not only significantly overpriced for what is offered but the management lacked basic professionalism. The landlord would show up unannounced at odd hours, multiple times claiming to fix security cameras--one of which was placed directly beside one of our units large, ground level windows. This felt intrusive and unsettling--especially as a woman. This lack of respect for privacy made my roommate and I extremely uncomfortable. Despite meeting every requirement listed to ensure the return of the refundable portions of our deposit, we received a delayed email informing us we would not be receiving a refund. As proudly clean, organized and respectful tenants, who have both individually rented for years without grievance from landlords this experience left us feeling exploited. I cannot in good conscience recommend this rental to anyone.

AVOID

I stayed here for 4 months as a travel RN this summer with a friend that is also a nurse and had a horrible experience with the property manager AND owner. They show up unexpected, knocking on door, yelling in the yard, and constantly doing "maintenance" around our open windows on many occasions, even late into the evening. We, personally, felt very uncomfortable and the communication was borderline inappropriate at times. Because of the experience we had, we anticipated they would want to keep our deposit so we took extensive photos and videos as proof of maintaining the space and leaving it better than we found it. I anticipate we will have to escalate legally as the communication has also been horrible. The neighbor in the next unit contacted me with a similar experience, asking if we also endured these issues. AVOID this rental at all cost.

Comfortable, Clean, Quiet

Clean and spacious! This property is perfect for me when I have my yearly travel to Washington. The Tacoma Mall is just a short drive as well as Walmart and other shopping amenities. I felt very comfortable for my length of the stay, and the price was very reasonable. Highly recommend if youre looking for somewhere clean and newly renovated! A+++

Nice clean space

This property is tucked away - it feels very safe and parking is very convenient. We loved the renovated interior. The property owner provides all the essentials, so it feels convenient and welcoming as well ! Highly recommend it for anyone needing a place to stay in Tacoma.
