Bright and cheery room with ceiling fan and light.

Shared kitchen; full sized refrigerator, dishwasher, garbage disposal, and completely equipped with dishes, silverware, cookware, Insta-pot, coffee station, etc.

Eat in kitchen with view of the tree lined backyard and the bird feeder through the bay window.. Bird food included.

Fully applianced in full working order. Completely equipped and stocked for meal prep cooking or just making coffee at the coffee station..

Shared kitchen panty. Each person will have a designated shelf for dry food storage. Currently the configuration is such the short person has the lower shelf.

Front entry. There is a table in the hallway now though it'snot in the photo. My bedroom is the door on the right. The Tan Timber is on the left. Not shown in this photo.

Livingroom with flat-screen television and Firestick. This room is typically shared with me. It tends to be mostly used by the people on the 1st floor.

Livingroom with a large French door to the patio. I'm still working on installing a screen door. The humming birds fly right up to the glass to feed. It's truly a great place to read or bird watch.

This is a shared powder room. I tend to keep my toiletries in this bathroom when I'm in town. I do use the hallway bathroom shower upstairs.

Front facing windows. The windows have miniblinds and black out curtains.

There is a keycoded door lock on the door in this photo. It leads to the front door of the home. There is a 2nd door that enters the kitchen.

The door next to the armoirs enters the kitchen.

Both armoirs have hanging rods and clothes hangers.

Shared bathroom with me when I come to town. Each bedroom has its own color coordinated bath towels.

I'm not sure why I added this photo. The window is new as is the bathroom vent.

Who knew a rain shower head would feel so nice.

Upstairs familyroom has a large television, full bathroom, Firestick and access to an upstairs closet and bathroom.

There is a large loveseat style chair and 2 leather rocker recliners. This space is a flex-space and is currently being used by the guests upstairs. It helps to promote some space between guests.

It also has 2 large front facing sunny windows.

Outdoor living. A great place for your morning coffee, bird watching. Feel free to add your personal touch. Its a nice place for a glass of wine, relaxing with a book or video chatting with family. I've started a couple of flower gardens last year. Feel free to plant your seeds.

This is the marina. The canoes, and kayaks can be rented at the Woodlake office for a small fee.
I took a picture of the rainbow over the lake on the day I closed on the home.

To the left of this photo is the outdoor pavilion where there are movies and concerts for the residents of Woodlake.

Who can say no to the pools?! There is a nominal visitor fee but worth it. There are chairs, umbrellas, and lifeguards on duty.

Tennis anyone? The tennis and pickleball courts are clay. Not asphalt. There are groups that play regularly here. There is also a local pickleball group 5 minutes down the road.

This lake allows for boats with electric engines. There are canoes and kayaks for rent as well.

Lap pool, swimming pool and splash park for resident children.

Covered seating for your tennis, pickleball match or snacks.

Indoor gym, with fully stocked exercise equipment. There is a membership fee.

If you look closer you'll see a couple of turtles in the water. There are over 12 acres of paved walk, hiking and biking trails. This area is the nature reserves area of Woodlake.

The home is beautiful, the location perfect, and, above all, Donna and her family are the best. I would give it more stars if I could. Woodlake has beautiful wooded trails throughout the community. I literally woke up every morning to the birds singing. My stress release is pickleball and I found a location 10 minutes away with 12 open play courts. Kayleigh, my 3-legged dog, and I felt comfortable right away. I usually walk Kayleigh for 1-2 hours a day but she never wanted to leave the house. We would walk for 10 minutes and then she would take me back "home" to sit on the back deck and relax. Donna and her family were there for a week of my stay and Kayleigh just fell in love with them. They are animal lovers with kind souls. I stayed in the red room. The bed and bedding were very comfy. The house is clean, maintained well, beautifully decorated. Donna, is very communicative and accommodating. I feel very grateful that I got to stay here.

Definitely a 5-Star Review, I had an incredible experience staying at Donnas, Standing Oak at Woodlake Red Oak. From the moment I arrived, everything exceeded my expectations. The home is beautifully decorated, clean, and equipped with everything you could possibly need. It felt cozy and welcoming, truly like a home away from home. Yellow room

This was by far one of the best places I have stayed in. Neighborhood was quite. The room I stayed in was clean and comfortable. Like a home away from home. The owner was great! Thank you for your hospitality. So if your traveling and are in the area , I recommend checking this out.

Red Oak was an oasis!

A lovely home and very comfortable to be in! Great access to Hospitals and shopping, as well as nice amenities. D was great, and if I return to Virginia I hope to rent again!
