One room with private bathroom in Mt Pleasant

Wonderful Stay in a Perfect Location!

I had a fantastic experience staying at this property! Miss Teresa has 2 available listings, I was in the UPSTAIRS room with an attached bathroom for 6 months while doing a travel RN contract at GWUH. This was also my first time traveling, and I wanted to try somewhere local before going further (I'm originally in Baltimore MD). Miss Teresa opened her house to me and helped me discover a home away from home. She (and Miss Veronica) were incredibly kind and accommodating, ensuring I had everything I needed for a comfortable stay. The room has a full (or queen? I'm not sure) size bed, with a closet, dresser, and desk. The bathroom attached has a standing shower and plenty of space to store bathroom essentials. The house was lovely and is in the Mt. Pleasant area in DC. The Columbia Heights metro stop was a 10-minute walk, and also within walking distance was the zoo, LIDL, and Target! My commute from Miss Teresa's to GWUH was roughly 25 min, and did involve a little bit of subway hopping (very easy once you get the hang of it, or use an app like City Mapper to get around!). Some of my favorite restaurants that I went to (2-8 min walk) were Purple Patch, El Pollo Sabroso, Don Juan, and Elle Bakery. The house is also near a few schools so there are always people out walking with their young children and dogs. On Fridays or Saturdays, there is a nearby farmers market in the summertime/early fall that I tried to go to when I wasn't working! I was doing predominantly nightshifts and felt safe coming back home early in the mornings/leaving later in the evening and walking by myself, even as it started to get darker and colder out. I had a very amazing time in DC and hope to keep in touch with Miss Teresa, and feel like I genuinely made a new friend in DC!
