Cute Space — Perfect Fit for Students!
I stayed here during my final semester at UofSC with my roommate, and it was perfect! The apartment was comfortable, well-maintained, and ideal for two grad students. The heating worked great in the winter, and the WiFi was always strong—no issues at all. When we mentioned the lack of storage, the manager installed a new lift-up bed frame in just three days, which was a lifesaver for all our luggage. He also added a cozy breakfast nook, which made the space feel so much more inviting. We had a minor plumbing issue and a loose outlet, but both were fixed immediately. The apartment is in a charming older neighborhood with a little floor warping, but that didn’t affect our stay. Plus, it’s super close to campus and pet-friendly, which made life so much easier. Highly recommend!
Not the best.
Kind and responsive host, though often ran late and did not know how to fix most issues. Internet went out daily and bandwidth was terrible. Flooring is unfinished and uneven. Ceilings bow and walls had soft spots, showing signs of rot. External electrical lines were poorly connected to walls. The air filter had not been changed for years. The restroom smelled terrible. We later found out it was due to the wax ring being melted and unsealed, allowing sewage smell to come up from under the toilet. The AC did not properly work and insulation was extremely poor. We had to install our own portable AC units, and even then, the temp often went near 80F inside. This issue was not fixed until after move out, where we were also charged for tiny holes in a bedroom curtain that I initially thought were moth holes or just a poor quality curtains, as well as the electrical lines that often came loose to begin with. Landlord lacks experience and understanding in basic home maintenance and handiwork.
Could use some work
My wife and I stayed in this location for a few months while waiting to move into a new house. While we were staying there the air conditioning did not work well. The floor was not finished and warped in numerous places. The electrical was falling off the walls. The property manager was nice and polite during our stay, but most issues were not fixed during our stay. We were also charged for existing issues that were not caused by us. In fairness to Qais(the property manager) we did not write them on our move in inspection. The pictures for the listing do not accurately represent the actual home. The property manager was very polite and responsive, but it took a long time to address issues with the house when presented. I think he has since fixed some of the issues with the house for new tenants.
Mom of USC student
I booked this place for my daughter's final year at USC. She was studying abroad in Spain in the fall semester so she wanted a hassle-free furnished apartment when she came back to finish school. She enjoyed staying here because it was close to campus and had plenty of space to share with her roommate and there was a good work space with a monitor so she could study. The bed was also nice because you could lift it easily for a second storage space, which she needed to store all the extra things she brought from Spain!
Comfortable and Convenient Stay Would Recommend
I stayed at Qais's apartment for three months during my assignment, and it worked out well. The location was convenient, just a short drive to work, and the neighborhood was quiet and safe. I liked that it was close to a park, which was great for walking my dog and getting some exercise. The apartment was clean, well-stocked, and had everything I needed. The bed was comfortable, and the blackout curtains made it easy to sleep. The place has been updated and looks better than the pictures. I would recommend it for anyone needing a comfortable, convenient place to stay.
Dogs!
The host was very responsive. Internet was a struggle, but was addressed quickly. Not many places will take on 3 dogs!
Great stay.
Super accommodating. Only minor issues like wifi, but was fixed immediately. Quiet environment, great location. I felt safe out and about. Super friendly host!
