Peaceful retreat beyond the woods

Just spent 6 weeks here. This is the perfect place for a respite from the world. The cottage is wonderfully done with excellent Feng shui to it - truly relaxing with a thoughtful selection of colors, furnishings, and finishes. All spaces are modern and complete. The hosts, Leslie & Adam, are responsive and attentive but never intrusive. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and look forward to a return. Do not hesitate to book or it will be gone.

Super Hosts and Rare Find

If youre coming across this property and its available, grab it now. My stay here was perfect. And the hosts here are more than accommodating. They truly are super hosts! They are readily available for anything you may need and will do what they can to make your stay as comfortable and relaxing as possible. This property is tucked away in the forest on the outskirts of Hillsborough and just a short trip away from many major hospitals (perfect for medical travelers or other professionals like myself). What I liked most about my stay here at the cabin was how peaceful and relaxing it was. Life is stressful enough as it is, so coming back here after a long day at work was truly a highlight of my day. I was saddened to go but my time in the area had come to an end. Take my word for it, this property is a rare find and a must if you are a professional in the area needing a rental!!! PS: they also have chickens and you get eggs, which in this economy, is a premium perk!

Cabin in the country

When we decided to start a whole house renovation, we had an important decision to make. Do we live in the chaos of construction, or do we look for a short-term rental? We wisely proceeded to post a request on Next Door, asking for such an arrangement. L and A responded very quickly. They offered a separate structure on their property, endearingly named "The Cabin", located in the Hurdle Mills community of Hillsborough. The cabin offered a full kitchen, bathroom, and living room/ bedroom combination. It is tastefully decorated and fully furnished. More importantly, it had all the comfort of home. What we liked about the cabin, other than its country setting, was how accommodating L and A were. If anything was needed, they were on it. We especially loved their chickens and even named a few! We also loved collecting eggs for our morning breakfasts. We really enjoyed our five months at the cabin and would highly recommend it to anyone. J and J

Stayed a little longer than anticipated and loved it even more.

The cabin was amazing: very clean, had everything I needed (and more), and exceeded my expectations. The decor was beautiful, intentional (form and function), comfortable, and cozy. The kitchen was well appointed and appliances were top notch. Fabulous shower. The WiFi was superior to many 'in-town' stays I have experienced, allowing me to work seamlessly on remote days. The cabin was tucked away in a warm and friendly neighborhood but very convenient to Hillsborough, Durham, Chapel Hill and surrounding areas AND provided such a peaceful respite at the end of the day. The host (L) was incredibly responsive and beyond accommodating. Even when I needed to extend my stay, Leslie worked with me with compassion, understanding and flexibility. The property itself was an added bonus-- collecting fresh eggs from the chickens, seeing incredible firefly light shows and tiny fawn wandering through the fields...MAGIC. Such a sweet space and outstanding host!
