Apartment in Hood River, Oregon
Landlord Tenure: 2 years, 1 month
This is a very quiet property with a huge backyard that overlooks the East hills and the Hood River (seasonal views). Giant oak trees, aspens and other trees provide habitat for birds and squirrels. We have large raised beds with lots of veggies in the summer, and five chickens that produce fresh eggs in the summertime.
The Heights neighborhood is about a mile and a half from downtown Hood River and is home to a major grocery store, pharmacy, bars, coffee shops, restaurants, schools and parks. We live at the end of a quiet street with mature trees overlooking the East Hills and the Hood River (seasonal views).
Pear Blossom Road
I spent 2 months here, was working in The Dalles and wanted to be in Hood River. The location of the home is great, the neighborhood is very quiet and peaceful with a lot of nice older and newer homes. The home is very close to a large shopping center with a grocery store. The unit itself has a full kitchen with a private entrance in the backyard. The unit is clean and modern. The owners are very nice and if you need anything they will take care of you.
Pear Blossom
I spent 8 months in this wonderful apartment while getting back on my feet after a whirlwind divorce. The landlords are kind, responsive and respectful. The view looking out on the backyard gardens and trees was beautiful to watch through the seasons. Having my own washer and dryer was great, as well as access to the clothes line. Jonathan and Becky's apartment had everything I needed (and more), and they were incredibly helpful with questions throughout my stay. Very considerate folks, very comfortable spot! This was the perfect place to be a single mom - the apartment feels private and safe, tucked away in a family-friendly neighborhood, and within walking distance to the Indian Creek Trail.
great convenient clean place for work and play
I spent the month of June at this wonderful spot in Hood River in 2024. I am a single woman and had the opportunity to stay in this quiet safe neighborhood. The place is clean; with every amenity one could need to be comfortable. It feels like you are in a garden because the apartment faces the yard which is filled with vegetable gardens and flowers. (in spring). And beautiful trees. And birds. The hosts are accommodating and considerate. There is a washer and dryer but also a clothes line for those of us trying to conserve on energy. Easy access to a choice grocery stores and food-restaurants and take out I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and in this beautiful place. I can't think of anything that would have made staying here more comfortable and welcoming. It is private and quiet. The hosts are gracious, friendly, and kind.
