Felt like home
Edward was gracious enough to host my family and I for a six month period while our home was being remodeled. His friendly, easy going nature helped to make our stay a true delight. The home’s architectural charm and interior design create a truly unique experience. We enjoyed hosting friends and family all summer and fall. The front patio and backyard offer private settings to spend time outside while enjoying the beauty of the Star Magnolias (front) and the ancient Gingko tree (back). Beyond its aesthetic, this home has practical aspects, like all the necessary household items and appliances, that one needs. The neighborhood is beautiful and family oriented, with great places to walk to, including multiple parks and yummy dining options. I feel very grateful for the season my family and I spent in this special place.
Unique, beautiful and comfy home
One of the most unique and beautiful homes I've ever stayed in. Every detail and at every turn you are enveloped in art and beauty. The bedroom is incredibly comfortable and the kitchen is made for a home cook (incredibly well appointed as well). The neighborhood is lovely, full of unique and historic homes, and incredibly quiet. The only critique, which is out of Edward's hands, is that the UPS plane traffic is quite loud from 3-6am. Otherwise, this was an astounding stay, especially for the price, and I'd stay here again in a heartbeat!
Enjoy classic 1920s living, European style, in the heart of Louisville.
The home is fascinating. Built circa 1920s. High ceilings. Arched windows allow in plenty of light. Furnishings are classic, including the piano. The kitchen is fully stocked and opening each drawer is the entrance to a mystery tour.with plenty of gadgets. New washing machine is another plus. The neighborhood is great for walking, including a university and plenty of restaurants within half a mile. The backyard is full of enjoyment. As a host and landlord, Edward was extremely conscientious and responsive to any inquiries. And above all, he always acted with respect and integrity.
Exquisite Home
Very well appointed, location is away from hustle and bustle, but close to significant thoroughfares.. Close to several locally owned restaurants and other businesses. Grocery, Drug Store, and liquor stores nearby. Walking distance to many, including multiple local farmers' markets. Neighborhood is quiet, parking is ample. Wonderful facility, very comfortable beds, Kitchen is well furnished. Porch and yard are both very nice. I will definitely rent this location again when in Louisville!
