fantastic stay - very grateful!
I can't sing enough praises about this place. I stayed here for three months upon moving to Santa Cruz, and it was the perfect place for me to land while I got to know the area and sought a more permanent place. The space is small, but its incredibly well thought out: efficient, beautifully furnished, and spotless. I was surprised how silent it was - I normally have to sleep with earplugs in, but didn't need them here. The place had everything I needed. Strong wifi, ample kitchen appliances, and many little touches that made it feel like home. I really enjoyed sitting out in the garden on sunny days. The neighborhood is very safe and peaceful, and I always felt comfortable coming and going, even late at night. The owners were exceptionally warm and welcoming, while also fully respecting my privacy. Its clear they put a lot of care into making the place both functional and comfortable. Im really grateful to have landed here!
Comfortable stay
I had the pleasure of staying in this beautiful unit for three weeks while I was searching for a place to live in the area. The unit is compact but well thought out and seemingly roomy. Here are several characteristics that made my stay comfortable. Tall ceilings with skylights, organized kitchen, lots of place for storage, on the other side of the property from homeowners, laundry steps from unit, private gated parking space, quiet street, comfortable beds. There was an issue with wi-fi connection and speed and within days they upgraded the entire system. Super friendly and yet maintain proper boundaries.
Great Landlord/Central Location
I am almost done with my stay in the 2BR unit here on Brommer. Finding housing in Santa Cruz was challenging for me to get what I wanted - it was a relief to connect with Iris on this app. She is very good with communication, very organized, and uses a secure platform for payments. You feel like you are staying on a friend or family member's property. It feels very safe. The W/D is shared, but is basically in unit. You walk maybe 5 feet. Iris let me store my bike in their shed. This location is very central between Santa Cruz and Capitola. Despite Santa Cruz being small, if this is closer to your work location, I would highly consider because the town does get backed up a little with traffic depending on your hours. Clean, organized, cozy, convenient is how I'd describe this stay!
Well designed space, thoughtful hosts
Given the description of the space online, I thought it might feel small, but it was cleverly and well thought out in such a way that everything worked well and it felt bigger than it is. (Note: the fridge/freezer/oven are all a little smaller than what I've seen in most kitchens, which was fine for me.) Everything is nice and details are paid attention to - new appliances, sharp knives, comfortable furniture, good light (natural light from a skylight and dimmable switches for lightbulbs), the blinds are in good shape, etc. And the hosts were friendly and responsive - for any small issues I found or requests I made, they addressed them in a helpful manner. I recommend this space!
