Best summer ever!
We had the best summer living in Chicago, and our lovely accommodation made the experience even better! There were six of us girls staying in the house, and although it was cozy at times, there was plenty of space for all of us. The storage options were great, with a spacious attic where we could keep our luggage, and the house itself was very well-equipped from kitchen utensils and dishes to cleaning supplies. The washer and dryer were also a huge bonus and made life so much easier. One of our favorite features was the balcony, especially with the comfortable sofa where we could relax and enjoy the summer evenings. The location couldnt have been better Southport Avenue is a fabulous area that felt very safe and homely, with excellent public transport connections nearby that made getting around the city simple and convenient. Overall, we couldnt have asked for a better place to spend our summer in Chicago. We would highly recommended Clints place!
Several month stay
My fiance and I stayed at this location for several months with our dog Zeno. For the price, we really enjoyed the place. We especially liked the backyard and deck for the dog and hanging out. And the location is really great with lots of shops and great restaurants nearby. It comes with a shared garage which was very convenient. Clint was always very responsive. If any issues came up (which was rare), like the garage door opener not working, he got it fixed right away. We appreciated the flexibility as we extended our stay. Would highly recommend.
Fantastic Stay Great Location & Responsive Owner
We absolutely loved our time at this property! The location was perfect, and we had plenty of space to feel comfortable. Anytime something needed attention, Clint was incredibly responsive and took care of it right away. It made our stay even more enjoyable knowing we had such a reliable and attentive landlord. We would love to stay here again in the future!
Responsive host but the space had issues
Clint was a great host-responsive and accommodating, especially with our older dog. The neighborhood was excellent: safe, walkable, and close to public transport. The garage was nice. However, the space was in poor condition: 1. No comfortable seating; we had to move a mattress to the living room to create a comfortable place to unwind. 2. Harsh lighting; we had to buy yellow bulbs, rearrange lamps, and remove most of the light bulbs and it was still jarring in the evening. 3. Several issues: clogged sink, malfunctioning washer, leaking freezer, broken bed frame, and inadequate vacuum. Clint fixed the bed, but it made it rock hard. 4. Missing essentials: no bath mat, oven mitts, can opener, cutting board, or trash can near the laundry. Beds lacked side tables, pillows were super bulky, no throw blankets, stairs lacked grip tape, and WiFi was too weak to watch tv and reach the work station. Despite these issues, Clint was earnest, and I'm sure these problems will be resolved.
