Lack of Privacy, Trespassing Landlords

This should not be rented as a private unit. Privacy is not respected. Vean has a personal storage room in the unit which he requires frequent access to, often giving only 15-30 minutes notice or none at all despite Utah law requiring 24-hour notice for non-emergent entry (Utah Code 57-22-4). One such entry occurred without notice or permission while we were out of town to look for a Minecraft game. In total, there were 12 landlord entries over 17 weeks, several trespasses without notice or permission granted. When we denied one short-notice entry, vindictive actions by them led to an early move-out. There is also an interior door connecting the unit to the landlords space with no lock on the renters side, allowing unrestricted access. This made us feel unsafe. Noise transfer from the ceiling is severe. You hear footsteps, conversations, the dog, and even snoring. Twice, we left our door unlocked and found it unlocked when we got home, raising serious privacy concerns. Steer clear.

Very clean, spacious house at a great quiet location. Very close to gym, restaurants, Costco, and other stores. Very nice and helpful landlord as well! 10/10 would recommend
