Beautiful Property — Policies and Expectations Differed From the Lease
I rented a room at this Summit property from August 2025 through February 2026. The home itself is beautiful, and I was excited to move in. During my stay, some expectations and house rules were communicated verbally after I had already signed the lease and moved in. Because some items differed from what I understood from the listing or the written lease, I recommend that future renters clarify all policies in writing beforehand. Items that came up during my tenancy included move-out notice expectations, guest fees and visitor notification requirements, kitchen use standards, and detailed move-out cleaning requirements (including washing linens and towels). There was also a period of about two months when the shower assigned to my bathroom was not operational, during which I used another shower in the home. I asked from compensation for this but was only given $50 off I completed my lease term and chose not to renew. I recommend confirming all house rules in writing before signing.
Great place!
The owners were wonderful the entire time I was there. Always checked up on me to see if I needed anything. The room had plenty of storage and was a good space to stay in. The kitchen had pots, pans, and all of the cooking essentials. The owners always took care of the snow too. Highly recommend to anyone staying in St Paul.
