Brookside's Hidden Gem
Stop! If you're looking for a classy, high quality home to stay in... in a quiet, peaceful KC neighborhood then look no further than the Brookside Bungalow. This is my favorite temporary place I've ever stayed. For the price, you won't find anything better than this. I had been looking for MONTHS for a homely, spacious place like this within this price range, and this was the ONLY place I could find that fit that criteria. Everywhere else I looked was either way over priced -- or, if the price was reasonable, then the neighborhood was somewhat questionable (i.e., nowhere near as nice as Brookside). Bottom line, this bungalow was the most memorable place I've ever stayed. First of all, Michael & Katie were extremely easy and nice to work with. They were both very welcoming, great with communication, and a pleasure to work with. You won't find better landlords anywhere in KC. Trust me! As soon as I stepped into the house, I instantly felt right at home. The furnishing was warm, vibrant, and welcoming. They really did a great job with carefully selecting the furnishing. It actually gave me some ideas for when I buy my next home. The home has plenty of space for a starter home, and it has a few bedrooms. The basement is huge, the kitchen is set up very well. The front patio is nice for friends & company. The backyard is a nice place to hang out as well, and it even has lots of string lighting. It also has a detached garage. Plus, the neighbors are pretty friendly and very quiet. You'll probably forget that you even have neighbors because you'll rarely hear them. A huge bonus is how cool of a vibe there is in Brookside. There's a diverse population of really good people all over that community. I even bumped into and reconnected with a few old friends who I didn't even realize lived in Brookside. There are tons of nice shopping centers, restaurants, and coffee shops all over Brookside. As a runner, I love that there are A TON of runners and walkers in the community every day. The atmosphere and positivity around this community is unforgettable. Trust me, when it's time to move out, you won't wanna leave.
