Misleading advertising/communication
I want to share my recent experience with Prolificproperties regarding a rental I booked through Furnished Finder. While the property was clean, safe, and conveniently located near hospitals, the rental process was very misleading/deceptive. Initially, I was assured that the price listed would be the final amount, but I faced unexpected price changes. Additionally, the advertisement stated that the deposit was fully refundable, yet I later found out it was non-refundable despite being listed as such on FF and first receipt. I was also informed last minute that another tenant had been assigned the primary bedroom, despite my agreement specifying otherwise. Furthermore, I paid an extra $200 for parking but was not made aware of the one-entry/exit limit until I arrived. Lastly, I was surprised by hidden service fees and taxes that were not disclosed upfront. Due to these issues, I plan to dispute the deposit through PayPal and report my experience to the Better Business Bureau.
