Located on a quiet street in an established neighborhood with a fabulous front porch to relax and study on. Music room has a piano, and large bookshelves have plenty of reading materials for your off hours. Private rooms with bathrooms, have their own key lock; well insulated from other sounds throughout the house. Front door has a key code for access.
A quiet, residential neighborhood, a five minute walk from the UIHC Downtown Campus. Close proximity to bike paths and bus routes to the main hospital campus. (I am a slow bike rider and can bike there in less than 20 minutes.) Plenty of parks and trails, as well as walking distance to the downtown area with all of its restaurants and entertainment options.
100% recommend!
I was there for 6 months on a travel assignment and worked night shift durring my stay there. It was a very peaceful and quaint environment and I never had any trouble sleeping durring the day even though the owners of the Inn and other guests were almost always there. They were always very respectful and very accommodating. I always felt welcomed and safe there. If I go back to Iowa City I would definitely stay there again!! Absolutely worth it!!
Lovely spot
Really lovely! I felt very at home here. Christine and Doug are so kind and welcomed me as part of their family. The rooms are comfortable, cozy, and spacious and the commons areas are welcoming. I would definitely recommend!
Great!
I had a great time at Christine's place. Her and her husband were very hospitable. The room and bathroom had everything I needed. The room has a desk to do work at and a cozy chair to lounge on. It was a great place for my stay.
Cannot recommend enough
Enjoyed my stay at Christine and Doug's beautiful inn, some of the loveliest people I ever met. Food and accommodation was great and location was perfect and serene. They were quite helpful and responsive, and went above and beyond to make my stay comfortable. I was often struck by just how kind and helpful they were, going as far as to provide support for me when it was time to leave. The inn is also close to downtown Iowa City and very walkable if you need anything. Perfect for both long and short stays. You honestly won't regret it.
