Got Deposit Back, But Only After Proof

I stayed at this property for 3 months. While the location was convenient and the space had potential, the move-out experience was incredibly stressful. The landlord attempted to charge me and my roommate for "damaged furniture." I had already informed her of what I noticed while cleaning the apartment, but instead of having a conversation, she told me to figure it out with my roommate who was claim for this damage, stating the furniture was "$1000." Thankfully, I had documented everything and provided video proof from move-in, which helped me recover my full deposit. She never apologized for the accusations. I strongly recommend that anyone renting here take detailed photos and videos both before moving in and when moving out. Be prepared to advocate for yourself.
