Be warned

The renter has refused to return our deposit for the two months since we left the rental. He left moldy towels in the washing machine and the sewer is backing up but is using the excuse that our pets made the house un-rentable - even though we cleaned the entire house meticulously on a daily basis and have photos to show it. Be aware that he will say that he didnt know you had pets (even if you tell him), try to avoid putting in the rental agreement that you are allowed to have pets (unless you catch it) and then use the excuse that theres a smell to keep your entire deposit - not just the pet deposit. Then, he will say that hes contacting this website to try and discredit your review. Real class act. Please also be aware, if you do not know the area, the property is located in a neighborhood that isnt the safest. We came from out of state and were surprised to find that there are multiple broken down or burned out houses in the area, a strong smell of pot and people screaming at each other in the street in the middle of the night on a regular basis.
