Private room in Beaverton, Oregon
Landlord Tenure: 1 year, 11 months
We live on a six acre farm on Cooper Mountain with unbelievably stunning hilltop sunset views. Most of our property is leased to a farmer who grows crops and eggs for a local farmer's market. Aside from the roosters, our place is very quiet.
Our house is one level, with an open floorplan. We rent out one bedroom to a long-term tenant. The house has internet, but no cable. We dont have air conditioning, but we have plenty ...
The room is 13.5' x 14', and comes furnished with a queen bed and nightstand, a desk, a large dresser, and an 8-foot long closet. The room has two large windows with tree-obscured views of the barn and garden. You will have full access to the entire house, including a great room with vaulted ceilings, a large kitchen, and a shared bathroom. Aside from the roosters, our property is very quiet.
We are within walking distance of the historic Jenkins Estate, known for its stunning gardens, a nature park with walking trails, and Cooper Mountain Vineyards.
Beaverton and Hillsboro are only 20 minutes away, and Portland is 30 minutes from us. The nearest public transit is 1.5 miles away, down a very steep hill. Our local grocery store is just 3 miles away, and Beaverton is known for its food cart pods.
A wonderful place with kind and friendly hosts
The property is amazing, it's calm and serene but not too far from anywhere you need to go. There are wonderful gardens to walk around and enjoy and I was encouraged to pick fruit from the many trees and was treated to fresh produce and eggs from the farm. My room and bed were very comfortable, the wifi was fast and reliable. They provided the essentials and everything I needed. Beth and Bruce treated me like family, but if you'd rather keep to yourself they seem OK with that too. They are very kind and understanding and I am glad to have met them and consider them my friends now and hope to keep in touch even after I have moved on.
Great Place to stay
The Landlord was really hospitable and helped me settle into an unknown place quite well. They also provided me with necessary essentials for staying and helped me look for places to visit and do groceries. I really enjoyed my 3 month stay there.
Lovely Home
This home is an idyllic place to stay if you enjoy the quiet serenity of a farm, but also the luxuries of local shops and stores nearby. The folks here are very welcoming and accommodating. They treat you like Family so be prepared to be invited to dinners and gatherings. There are hiking trails and outdoor activities to do just down the road. I would highly recommend staying with them. Thank you for the amazing experience Bruce and Beth!
