Sweet, clean, quiet walk out basement apartment close to everything

This is an excellent place to stay, especially for healthcare professionals on travel assignments. The property is conveniently located approximately 20 minutes from Carilion Memorial Hospital, making it an ideal choice for Travel RNs and other medical professionals. You will have the entire basement to yourself, providing plenty of privacy and personal space throughout your stay. There is also convenient access to the laundry area, making an extended stay comfortable and hassle-free. Kathryn and Allan are incredibly kind, considerate, and accommodating hosts. They take great care of their guests and create a welcoming environment. I highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a comfortable, private, and convenient place to stay during a travel assignment.

Great first place to stay

This was my first time not staying with family on an assignment so I was a bit nervous because staying in someone else's house could really go either way. However Alan and Kathryn made the stay nothing but easy and comfortable for me! They interact as much as you feel like so if you'd prefer more privacy they don't impede, but if you're social they're great dinner guests! The apartment is all you really need for one person and works fine for night shift, I just use a sleep mask and white noise. Any problems I've had with anything they've been very responsive and kind, including extending my stay. Would 100% recommend if you're working at carilion.

Terrible

Lady told me one thing and double booked the property. I had 2 weeks to find a new place to stay. Bugs. Shower is very very small. Driveway is a hill and very difficult to load and unload your car. Was very unhappy.

Perfect!

My stay here in Hollins was everything I could have asked for. It is a private unit walking out to the backyard/pool area and has access to the driveway. It is stocked very well with everything you could need. Kathryn and Allan were so welcoming, available anytime I needed anything, and they made me feel at home! This was truly the best housing arrangement I've had so far. I would definitely stay with them again if I get the chance!

Lovely place!

My stay in Hollins, VA was absolutely wonderful! I was only a 15 minute drive to Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital. Kathryn and Allen were phenomenal hosts. They were extremely responsive for my entire stay. Kathryn even was kind enough to help me with my dog on the days that I worked. It was so nice knowing that my pup was taken care of on those long days. The space was very clean and cozy. I enjoyed walking my dog through the nice, safe neighborhood. There is a beautiful creek behind the property which was also lovely and easy to access through the back gate. If youre traveling solo and looking for a quite, safe and cozy place to call home in the Roanoke, VA area, I cannot recommend this place enough!

1st time traveler

This was my first time on a work travel assignment which was at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital. I am so happy that I chose this unit because Kathryn and Allan made my stay a wonderful experience! Their downstairs basement unit is completely private, but if I ever needed anything, they were always happy to help me out. They are two of the sweetest people and made me and my small dogs feel right at home. I hope I am lucky enough to have this same great experience on my next travel assignment.
