I stayed in the Apricot Room for 3 months! It was like a home away from home. Anna bent over backwards to make sure I was comfortable. I loved the large room, private bath, black out curtains, large TV, great king bed. Kitchen had everything needed for making meals. House was bright and inviting, big back yard and safe neighborhood, great for walks short or long. Close to shopping center, college, hospital. Perfect location. Quiet community. Highly recommend.

Comfortable Home and friendly host

I stayed in the Rojo Room as part of my relocation to Athens. Great neighborhood, very comfortable bed, easy to cook. Anna was friendly and made me feel right at home, great place to stay and would stay again.

The Rojo Room

My name is Diaga and I stayed with Anna at her home in Athens. The house was easy to access and it is in a very quiet and nice neighborhood. I was there for 2 and 1/2 months as I was finishing up my Master's at the University of Georgia. Anna's house is clean, comfortable, and quite convenient to get to and from campus! Also, the king bed in the Rojo room-- I was sleeping in was really comfortable and I felt so safe and anything I needed, she would be the most accommodating. Please make the trip and enjoy a great relaxed stay.

This is an overall reveiw due to limited character space

Less than two months in, I broke lease early due to feeling uncomfortable in the home. The home's in a quiet neighborhood. Initially she was nice, ensured she would accommodate her tenants. She did just that for the most part. I feel she allowed her personal issues to interfere with her professionalism as a landlord. Our issues started over plugin air fresheners. Air fresheners weren't addressed in the contract or before move in. A month into my stay, she noticed I had them. She felt they were a fire hazard, changed her mind, said they were ok. Two weeks later she wanted them gone. Told her I've never had an incident with them but would stop using them and get something else. She took that as disrespect. Without specifics, things got worse from there. She asked me not to leave a review. According to her, she's hosted hundreds of tenants and has never had a bad review. I only leave reviews when warranted and, in my opinion, this is. I've never had a landlord behave the way she did.

Ayahnnah did not request to leave early I offered for her to because it had become stressful having her in my home. I will preface this by encouraging anyone to read my other other FF reviews, including the ones on my other listings (the Clearwater Chalet and the Cozy Chalet), and also my 800+ Airbnb reviews, where youll see my track record of warm hospitality. I strive for tenant/guest satisfaction, not only because I truly love hosting, but also because the success of my business depends on it. I have 14 years of experience hosting short and mid-term stays, and have rarely experienced a tenant/guest who blatantly disregards valid concerns and who, quite frankly, doesnt seem to care about anyone else in the house, including me. She rented a room in a house with several other tenants, where the air circulates throughout the home. She proceeded to use Glad plug-ins without asking, and I realized after smelling the scent as soon as I walked in the front door. This was the first time Id ever hosted anyone who used these, so it had never been an issue before. I then told her that Glade plug-ins are a potential fire hazard, and that I also wanted to respect the other guests/tenants who breathe the air here (Id kindly explained that they emit chemicals and a strong scent throughout the whole house, to which some people are very sensitive/have allergies, and due to which I could lose future business). She did not care - she pushed back, saying So I cant use air freshener? and Well, Ive never had a problem with them. . . . . I at first gave in to her, because it was clear she wanted to push for using them despite my concerns. However, a week or two later, after I verified that they are definitely a fire hazard, I went back to her and asked her not to use them. I bought her a cleaner alternative. Her response: No, Ill use my own. She couldnt understand the importance of my wanting to respect the other tenants and guests in the house, and also to protect the property from risk of fire. She insisted by saying Its MY room. Nothing I did, including purchasing a Mrs. Meyers air freshener spray, or giving Ayahnnah a free upgrade to the primary suite seemed to appease her. Ive learned from 14 years of hosting and renting out spaces that there are some people who are just impossible to please.

Love the vibes!

I was here for 2 months and had a lovely stay. Anna was very accommodating and made sure I was comfortable! I loved the styling and furnishings of the rooms and living area. The bed was particularly comfortable and she had all of the cleaning and cooking utensils I needed! The neighborhood was quiet, safe, and is located right next to an elementary school so there's plenty of places to walk!
