Best housemate ever!

I lived with Bry for almost 4.5 years from March 2019 through September 2023 and hands down, she was the best housemate ever. After all those years of living together, I also gained one of the most wonderful friendships I have in my life. As an introvert, I enjoy my alone time and she was always respectful in giving me space. Whenever I had my social battery charged, I loved watching movies, playing games, and cooking with her. Whenever there was an issue with utilities (like pipes, heat, etc.), she was quick to address it. She always made the home feel cozy and welcoming. Not to mention, I can't imagine having lived through the pandemic with anyone else because she was very grounded and kept me sane during the entire lockdown. If you're looking for a respectful, kind, and thoughtful housemate, Bry is the best one to have. In addition, the location is amazing and you can't beat the trifecta combination of having an amazing housemate, location, and price.

Great! Until it became frustrating

Our experience began on a positive note. The move in process was smooth, there were no red flags, got all info to move in and first few months were great. Unfortunately, issues surfaced soon after, and by the end of our stay, we noticed a shift in the homeowner's demeanor. We were promised a professional cleaning, a new shower head, and a functioning exhaust fan none of which were fulfilled. Communication during the rental was frustrating. Most disappointing was the lack of appreciation for our efforts. We regularly cleaned up after the homeowner and handled her deliveries, yet never received a thank-you. It often felt like we were treated as "the help" rather than guests. At the end, despite agreeing on a deposit return date, we were told we were "in a rush" and subjected to an unannounced inspection after we left despite requesting it happen while we were there. Only a partial refund was issued at first with no clear explanation. We waited a full week past the agreed date.
