After signing a lease and sending a deposit months in advance, the landlord forgot about our reservation and double-booked the property. He did not respond to our communications on FF the week prior. We found his number on Google and attempted to contact him there as well; however, we got no reply. He simply sent the deposit back and apologized in a message over Venmo. We now have 2 days to find another place to stay during peak season in Maine, which you will find is nearly non-existent.
