I would not recommend this host or space, primarily for health reasons. I asked for a slightly lower monthly rate because I was relocating to Denver to secure permanent housing. The host agreed only if I committed to two months, which I did. About a week later, I gave more than 30 days' notice that I needed to leave earlier due to new information about my nursing licensure. After that, communication became strained and personal. I had already packed and cleaned so she could show the home to prospective renters. While we were still discussing my departure, I woke up to brown rainwater leaking through the roof and ceiling fan onto me and my belongings. I experienced an immune reaction and incurred medical bills. The incident led the host to agree to an early move-out. I have not been reimbursed, and both the host and HOA continue requesting additional proof of my expenses. I value hosts who understand travel nursing and respond professionally to health concerns.
