You will be pleasantly surprised by this small, friendly, safe neighborhood in Oakland! This flower themed neighborhood (streets are named after flowers like Tulip and Lily) is the one where you'd see people strolling with a toddler or a dog. It's also close to highways and hip restaurants in the Laurel downtown.
Great little spot in Oakland
Great little small apartment in Oakland. Quiet and peaceful, perfect if your staying solo. It was a little tight, when my boyfriend was staying with me and we both had to work, but other wise very manageable for two people. Bora, the landlord, was very flexible and super nice. She was always great about communicating if anything was happening at the apartment. She even was open to letting me set up a rig in the backyard so I could practic aerial while I was there, which I was super grateful for. Speaking of the backyard, the yard now has Kurapia lawn so it's a super nice place to et your dog roam and play. The upstairs neighbors were also lovely! Never had any issues with noise in my whole 6 month staying there. Overall, I highly recommend!
