A Hidden Gem

This property is a hidden gem in downtown St Thomas. We had a wonderful stay at the Seven Arches. From the moment you step through the gate it feels relaxing. The architecture and furnishings are beautiful and reflect the historical charm and elegance of Charlotte Amalie. Sitting on a hill, it has beautiful views of the harbor and mountains from the balcony where we would have morning tea or a glass of wine at sunset. Its centrally located, with just a stroll into downtown for shops and restaurants or a short drive to beaches. The host was super welcoming, providing all of the info we needed for our stay at the house and great ideas for things we could do around the island. I cant wait until we go back!

The moment I stepped into this beautifully preserved historic home, I was transported to another era. The antique furnishings throughout create an atmosphere that's both sophisticated and welcoming each piece seems to tell its own story of the island's rich past. The craftsmanship and attention to detail in maintaining the home's authentic character is remarkable, yet it never feels like a museum. Instead, it's a living, breathing space where history and comfort coexist perfectly. The apartment itself strikes the perfect balance between historic charm and modern comfort. The natural hardwood floors and island breezes flowing through create such a serene atmosphere, while the thoughtful amenities ensure you have everything needed for a comfortable stay. The outdoor spaces are particularly special whether enjoying coffee on the balcony with that incredible harbor backdrop or finding a quiet moment in the courtyard, there's always a perfect spot to unwind.

A Timeless Adventure!

Staying at Seven Arches was like stepping back in time. This beautiful, historic property is conveniently located on Government Hill, just on the fringe of Charlotte Amalie, the capitol of the U. S. Virgin Islands. It was so enjoyable and comfortable staying at The Arches. We could easily walk to the many historic sites that are close by. Fort Christian, The 99 Steps, The old Market, the Harbour waterfront, Grand Hotel, Frenchtown were all withing walking distance of the Arches. We took a historic walking tour and learned so much about the rich history of the Virgin Islands. It was also a short walk to the center of town where there are restaurants, bars, shops and a convenient grocery story (Moes). We wanted to try something different; the Arches was a perfect choice. We had modern conveniences in a setting that made us really feel what it must have been like back in the historic days. It was a wonderful experience, and we would love to stay there again.
