Apartment in Charlottesville, Virginia
Landlord Tenure: 1 year, 8 months
Hosts Rob and Constance live above the unit. A career brewer and a professional baker, we've designed and furnished a space we'd be happy to live in. It's comfy and bright, with everything you'll need to feel at home, no matter the length of your stay. We love Charlottesville, and look forward to sharing our favorite spots with you. We're always available for any questions or issues that might arise, or if you need to borrow a c...
We designed a space we'd want to live in, a bright and clean, brand-new apartment, with all new appliances and furniture. It features a chef's kitchen with custom island, pantry, workspace lighting, induction range and stainless steel appliances including a full size refrigerator and Bosch dishwasher. The bedroom is quiet and comfortable, with new queen bed and solid-wood dresser, and in-unit washer/dryer. The full bath is highl...
We're in a quiet new subdivision community just south of the Downtown Mall with easy walking to UVA Hospital (.9 miles) Ix Art Park and two farmers markets (five minutes on foot) and just a half mile from the Rivanna Trail, Charlottesville's 20-mile green ring for walking, running or mountain biking.
Wonderful
This place was absolutely perfect. I immediately felt at home in this bright, thoughtfully designed apartment. Every detail is well consideredfrom the chefs kitchen (better equipped than mine!) to the cozy living area where I cooked, wrote, and streamed shows using the smart TVs guest accounts. The bed was super comfortable, and the in-unit washer/dryer was a lifesaver during my long stay. Rob and Constance are exceptional hostswarm, responsive, and full of local tips, always available but never intrusive. The location is quiet and safe, yet walkable to the Downtown Mall, Ix Art Park, UVA Hospital, farmers markets, and the Rivanna Trail. I didnt have a car and never needed one. I dont use short-term rentals often, but this one truly stands out. Whether for a few days or a few weeks, the apartment has everything you needand more. I cant wait to return!
UVA contract
Property is great! Close to downtown mall & hospital. Located near the CAT bus stop for public transportation. Has everything you need for cooking in the kitchen. Overall good stay!
Really excellent place and people
We stayed with Rob and Constance for two months while we were between apartments and found it to be really outstanding. Everything is brand new, well thought out, perfectly clean, and super high quality. The queen bed is very comfy, with 100% cotton sheets and a European down comforter, the bathroom is full size and the shower is huge with exceptional water pressure, and has great amenities like a plush cotton towels, hair dryer, shampoo and conditioner, lovely soap, and a full size washer/dryer, with a Brabantia ironing board and Rowenta iron. The kitchen is well stocked to have dinner guests over with enough dishes to entertain four, a Dutch drip coffee maker, full size convection oven with an induction range that is a cook's dream, many options of stainless steel pots and pans, cast iron skillets, toaster, Vitamix, Bosch dishwasher, LG refrigerator/freezer, microwave, gorgeous marble counter tops, custom made island with two bar stools that are super comfy, and a Scandinavian dining table for four. The large flat screen TV is set up with Netflix, Apple TV, and HBO Max. I work from home and find the WiFi to be reliableandfast while my husband worked at UVA. Even though the apartment is considered a basement level, it is extremely well lit and inviting. This is such a charming and well designed apartment. The apartment is on a quiet street that's just a few-minute walk to Charlottesville downtown near excellent restaurants, a gym, and the train station. We downloaded an app on our mobile phones to control the door lock/unlock and the air conditioning/heating. Rob and Constance are the real draw here though -- they are responsive and caring and just reasonable human beings. They made us homemade yogurt and granola, brought us treats from their bakery and brewery (which are excellent), and were always ready to suggest great places to go whether it was for dining or sight seeing. We will definitely be staying here each time we come back to Charlottesville. It is the perfect home!
