My daughter and her boyfriend rented this place for 6 months. To begin with, The landlord bumped their lease to 3 days later(which this should have been a sign)after we had a truck rented to move them in earlier. She also made the kids pay in cash every month! Said she didnt trust anyone. Once we got there the house was filthy dirty with animal hair and dirty toilets sinks etc. The septic had failed as well (she didnt mention this beforehand) and they had to endure countless calls/ maintenance / contractors etc to replace it. That would have been fine had they not been told they can only take 3 minute showers and when they do dishes to wash in bucket and empty outside! 2 months they endured thisFor $3000 a month. The furniture pictured is not the furniture you get anymore. They came in 5 months into the lease and replaced it with different stuff. The guest room mattress was disgusting! They had the kids take all of their stuff out of dressers, cabinets etc which took all day. Seriously?? This is how Karen treats her tenants and no compensation for their inconvenience?The lanai furniture is all falling apart. Broken table, screens were shredded, old gliders that they had old blankets all over them. When My daughter bf leaned on the arm of the rickety chair, it broke. karen charged him $100 to repair it. This stuff is worse than stuff youd see in an alley way in the worse part of town! I replaced all the sheets and bedding, and curtains bc what they had was not acceptable. . The pool turned green ( this happened a few times)and the sister who was suppose to keep it up came over. She was swearing loudly and throwing stuff around the yard. She took their stuff off of a shelf and threw it on the ground. When I came out(I happened to be visiting) to see what was going on, she was swearing at me statingwhy we didnt let her know the pool was green! My daughters bf was in meetings (works from home)and had to stop to see what was going on. I had to threaten to call the police bc she was acting crazy! The kids had let the landlord know about all of this and Karen was not apologetic. The kids came home one day and they were in the back yard hanging out by the pool. She has zero respect for the kid personal space. The toilet never flushed properly and yet they stopped by a half dozen times but never fixed it. When they moved out it still didnt flush properly. She had them fixing stuff in her property with no compensation. The kids pulled the silver ware drawer open and the front of the drawer fell off. None of their stuff was in the kitchen drawers so its not like they were overstuffed. The sister came iver(same person who cleans the pool) and she was hysterical! Said they were there for 6 months and should have taken the time to fix it! OMG this is the landlords responsibility! This same women was seen by my daughter when I pointed out to her, this is not the tenants responsibility, making punching gestures behind my back as I walked away. I think this lady has mental health issues! The list is endless to the level of harassment they endured. If youre wondering, why did they stay? They were looking at homes to purchase and didnt want to move twice. Thankfully they found a beautiful home! I would NOT rent this place under any circumstance and no matter how desperate you are!
