I stayed at Ambers place from February until May. The stay was great! Very conveniently located just minutes from downtown, and you could walk to the Blue Ridge PKWY if so desired. Minutes from the main hwy and minutes from hiking trails. Amber was super responsive, always responding within hours, and had any concerns addressed immediately. Most definitely NOT a karen lol. Would stay here again. The long term tenant next door was never an issue, she was quiet and polite with the few interactions we did have. Shared laundry was also never an issue. Couple of quirks that come with an old house, but nothing that affected the quality of the stay. (Ex only the kitchen outlet was strong enough to support certain appliances without tripping the breaker) Only thing to be wary of is in the winter, the roads/driveway can be challenging depending on your vehicle and what youre used to (a surprise for this FL girl) but thats nothing to do with Amber or her property, thats the NC mountains for ya. Would recommend booking this place :)
Wonderful Stay in the NC Mtns!
We had a lovely stay at Amber's place in Boone, NC. The apartment was perfect for our needs. It was well decorated and cozy and fully stocked with everything we needed. Amber was very responsive and helpful through our entire stay. We will absolutely stay here again when visiting Boone again!
Super cozy. Loved it!
First of all the apartment was super cozy. i was there for a short time, but i thoroughly enjoyed my stay. I found the apartment very clean. it smelled good. and it was warm (it was during the winter). the landlord was EXTREMELY patient with me when booking because there was a lot of back and forth with my roommate. she was very understanding, which i appreciated a lot. the neighborhood is really quiet. i had no problems with the next door neighbor, she was very nice. one thing i would say though, is the furniture in the living room is not the most comfortable, but its not the worse either. somehow the different color furniture works for the space. it gives it some sort of funky-fun vibe, which i appreciated. the space is a bit on the smaller side. it was in fact fully furnished. the bedrooms were super comfortable. i was in the master bedroom ( it was my favorite place in the apartment). overall, Amber was an amazing host! very understanding, and responsive. if i had to do it again, I most definitely would!
X-Ray Tech Traveler
This place is perfect for a single person looking for a place to stay for a short time! You have to be comfortable with small living for sure but it worked out great for my cat and I. My family was able to come stay and visit a few different times and we made it work perfectly. Amber and her husband were able to provide another a/c unit for the 2nd bedroom for when my family did come and stay. There are some things that could be updated and the living room furniture isnt the most comfortable but I made it work for the few months that I was there. Im very grateful to Amber and her husband, and I would highly recommend staying here if youre a healthcare traveler like me :)
Worst experience in YEARS of traveling.
My husband and I are traveling with our two children and two dogs. While this property owner was very responsive, she insisted on either raising the rent to $1800 a month, or doubling the $500 deposit. She also asked for a pet deposit of $400. So, she got $2700 for 3 weeks. This was such a horrible experience we didnt even stay an entire month. We do not recommend. I wouldnt even stay here if I were single. Instead of coming to us directly about noise concerns, the neighbor would stomp and bang in her apartment in response to our 6 yr old autistic son running around during NORMAL daytime hours. She would also stomp back and forth on the back deck outside the back door and peer into our apartment. The owner didnt come to us directly at first either, she went to our travel agency to complain about the noise. Owner would watch the electric usage on a daily basis and informed us that she only covered up to $60 a month for electric. This is bare minimum usage, but she will claim thats all a single person uses (were a family of four and she knew that upon leasing the unit). The livingroom furniture is hideous and not functional. It is not comfortable to sit on at all, and not made for relaxing after a 12 hour shift. Most importantly though, the owner is a Karen if you will, and is extremely stressful. She will harass you and take as much of your hard earned money as possible. We were not able to relax with all of the complaining and rules. Only giving this one star because zero stars is not an option.
