Perfect Syracuse Home Base- Wonderful Stay in Eastwood with Great Amenities
I had a wonderful 3-month stay at Sheryl and Lisas one-bedroom apartment in Syracuse. The space was extremely comfortable, especially the king-sized bed, and the Wi-Fi was fast and reliable. The kitchen was well-stocked with all the tools I needed, and they thoughtfully provided fresh sheets, plenty of towels, and starter toiletries and cleaning supplies. Having free laundry in the building was an added bonus. The Eastwood neighborhood was a highlightfull of charm with vintage shops, cozy coffee spots, a great farm-to-table restaurant and bar, and even an old historic theater. It felt safe, walkable, and full of local character. Sheryl and Lisa were wonderful hosts, responsive and welcoming. I would absolutely stay here again and recommend it to anyone visiting Syracuse!
Underwhelming First Impression
I moved into the apartment on 8/15, expecting it to be clean and ready. Instead, I was met with an overwhelming ammonia smell, a broken bathroom door, a stained shower liner, and a non-working outlet for the AC. Within hours, I had to buy an extension cord just to cool the unit. The next morning, I found rodent droppings near the fridge and later saw a mouse run from under the couch. I immediately notified the landlords and left due to serious health concerns, staying at a hotel. For $1,645 a month, I expected far better. Rather than prorating rent or offering compensation for my 24-hour stay and hotel costs, they only returned my security deposit, still charging full rent for the month. This response felt purely about money, not tenant health or safety. Im sharing my experience so others can make an informed decision before renting here.
Great Apartment and Location
This apartment is really nice and there is a lot to do in the surrounding area. The hosts were very responsive and helpful. I had everything I needed in this apartment and would stay here again.
