This place is so special!
I fell in love with this Hilo Hale as soon as I walked in. Large windows on all 4 sides in every room make it feel like being inside a faceted gemstone with ocean views on the back side. I was able to whale watch from the bedroom sitting area. The kitchen was a dream for making meals. The home is close enough to Honoli'i beach that I walked over most days to watch the surfers, relax on the beach and collect sea glass. It was also the best place to watch whales breaching while I was on the island. The location is super convenient just a short 5 minute drive into town for coffee shops, restaurants, and shopping. I'm hoping to return again next year! The only thing I can offer as a downside is that the place backs up to the busy Belt Road. I kept the windows closed at night and it was very quiet anyway.
