I had a really pleasant experience renting a room in this home. The space was clean, comfortable, and exactly as described. The setup of the house is perfect for cohabitating. I didn't feel restricted to my room as I had access to a den area exclusively for me. It was refreshing to have a choice of whether to relax in either the den or the bedroom uninterrupted. It really felt like more of a 2nd home. The bathroom was clean and well stocked. The host was friendly, welcoming, and made the whole process smooth and easy. It felt like a relaxed and respectful environment, which made my stay very enjoyable. If I am ever in the area again, this would be my first choice. I’d definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a comfortable room in a great home.

Pest and sanitation issues

I stayed here from early November through mid-December. While the room initially appeared fine, several issues came up during my stay that significantly affected my experience. An exterminator later identified roof rats and multiple visible entry points in the house. I also encountered sanitation issues, including mold in the toilet, water pooling in the shower, stained carpeting, discolored bedding, and an old, heavily stained mattress topper beneath the sheets. Communication became difficult and we were unable to reach a resolution regarding rent paid relative to time occupied. I would not choose to stay here again and strongly recommend that future renters ask very specific questions before considering.
