Caring Host, Excellent Apartment, Best Neighborhood

Melanie showed me the apartment and described the house and the area. It made me feel at home. She prepared a local guide folder with maps, history of this part of Seattle, and a list of local eateries, shops, and landmarks. This apartment shows a great care about guests. It is spacious, comfortable, and has everything one would ever need: a full kitchen with plenty of space to prepare and store food, folding dining table, large desk, sofa, TV, bookshelves, and a hutch. The bedroom has a large closet and a view of the sun-lit yard with lawn and trees. The bathroom and shower are large. In addition to the central heating, both the living room and the bathroom have their own heaters. Minimal décor and plenty of free space allow you to decorate the place to your liking. This is a safe residential area with five minutes’ walk to the views of Puget Sound and 5 min drive to the Ballard Market. I would stay here again and would recommend the host and the place to everybody.

Perfect Summer Stay in a Safe, Beautiful Neighborhood

I stayed here from May 18 to August 18 during my Amazon internship, and I couldnt have asked for a better place. Melanie was incredibly responsive and helpful, making my stay stress-free. The apartment was spotless, with a washer/dryer, a spacious desk perfect for working from home, and reliable Wi-Fi. The kitchen was brand new and stocked with pots and pans, so cooking was easy. The neighborhood is extremely safe and beautiful, right by Sunset Park with stunning views. The 17 bus took me straight to the SLU neighborhood near Amazon offices and restaurants a quick 25-minute ride. Highly recommend this place for work, school, or exploring Seattle clean, comfortable, and perfectly located.

Wonderful stay

I stayed at Melanies place for a month-long working vacation and I couldnt have asked for a better place. I would definitely consider staying here when I am in Seattle again. Melanie was always very prompt and helpful with all communication, not just about the unit but also about general questions on the area. The place looks just as pictured, is very clean and feels quite spacious and very private. The full kitchen is well appointed. The work area has a large desk that easily fit my multiple computer monitors, a comfortable chair, great Wi Fi and many multi plugs that came in handy. The bed is very comfortable and the bedroom overlooks a large backyard and garden which is nice to wake up to. The water pressure in the shower is great and the bath room is a good size. There is plenty of storage space for personal belongings and luggage in the unit. The neighborhood is quiet, safe, beautiful and very well located. The house is just a few minutes walk from Market Street which has many options for eating out. There are grocery stores within walking distance. There are bus stops a few minutes walk away with a couple of options (Route 44 and Route 40) to get to down town (about an hour and half ride, depending on route) and other parts of Seattle. For an avid walker, both Golden Gardens and Discovery Park are a comfortable walk away. Doordash, Uber Eats and Instacart have a lot of vendors servicing the area, so getting food and grocery deliveries offer a lot of different options. There is an orientation booklet in the house with neighborhood information that is helpful. I feel like I came to Melanies place a stranger but I am now leaving with a new friend in Seattle.
