1bed1bath Cottage House Unit In Safe Neighborhood Near Hospitals

Safe for traveling alone!

I stayed here for about 5 months! Now understand the area of Englewood is very old and the added triplex is behind the house is as well. So yes the amenities aren't very new but nothing in the area is! This is my first time traveling/living by myself. I had a great group of neighbors and we all talked frequently! It is a small area but it's perfect for a short term stay. I had great communication with Jordan and he got me everything I needed. I probably blew up his phone frequently and he had my request fixed within a day or two and always responded in a timely manor. If you are a female traveling by yourself this place is ideal for the safety and comfort of your own four walls. I'm a tall girl myself so the shower was a little tight so keep that in mind. After a 12/13 hours shift I was just grateful I even had a shower at that point! You do share a washer/dryer with about 7 others but everyone is pretty respectful of getting their things done.

Gas leaks

all units are expected to share a ghetto chain link dirt backyard with their multiple dogs. Tenants are also expected to share laundry between 5 different groups of occupants. The places are filthy and have the smallest showers Ive ever seen. couch in my unit was dirty,stove had a gas leak and landlord told me I needed to fix it myself. He told me to light the burner with a lighter.came to check on it days later after I had been exposed to gas for god knows how long. He never even had maintenance fix the issue. It happened over and over again with no resolution. I should have called the fire department. When I left he was not going to return my deposit and claimed I ruined the bed, which had been dirty upon move in. The neighbor next to me flagged me down the day she moved in and was worried she couldnt get ahold of Jordan because she didnt want to stay since he never even had the unit cleaned ! She said there was dirt and pet hair everywhere and she is allergic to cats.
