Beautiful ADU in a great location with friendly hosts
I had a really great stay at this ADU in Salt Lake City! I lived here for a full year and absolutely loved it! The space itself is beautiful—tons of natural light, vaulted ceilings, and a really comfortable, open feel that made it easy to relax day-to-day. The location is hard to beat. It’s in a quiet, walkable neighborhood, but still super convenient for getting into the canyons for hiking and skiing. Having that kind of access made a big difference during my stay. The backyard was an added bonus and a great place to unwind. The hosts were incredibly gracious. They took me on several bike rides around the city and provided multiple recommendations to outdoor activities in the area. I’d absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable, well-located place with amazing hosts.
Not met with the expected respect
I delayed posting this review to allow the property owners time to respond to my concerns via email, but I have not received a reply. During my stay, I encountered standing water and visible mold spores beneath the bed on multiple occasions. I remained patient and cooperative, and while I was thanked for my understanding, the landlords ultimately failed to address or compensate for the personal items damaged by mold. When I raised these concerns again in a follow-up email, I was met with threats to withhold more of my security deposit instead of resolving the issue civilly. I tried to continue the conversation respectfully, but that was the last I heard from them. According to Furnished Finders terms, Property Owner agrees to maintain high standards of professionalism, quality, and service... including treating all Travelers with respect, not engaging in threatening behavior... I do not feel these standards were upheld during my stay.
