Perfect Cottage
The cottages of Odessa were perfect for my short term nursing contract extension. Great location near beach, restaurants, unique shops. Owner is very responsive and the home has everything you need, very clean and spacious! Loved the yard it was perfect for traveling with pups, I wish I wouldve been able to stay all summer. Would absolutely go back if Im in the area again!
Bad Landlord
Stayed 3 months while working as a travel RN. Housing location is great! Property mostly clean. I lived alone & felt safe. The landlord Jason is HORRIBLE! When I moved in, the front door had a keypad lock & another that needed a physical key. I requested the key several times & he refused. I locked myself out twice, paid $300 for a locksmith, and he refused to reimburse me or bring the key. He said, Im in Massachusetts & youre locked out in Maine, so I dont know how to help. Eventually, he sent someone to remove the doorknob, then blamed me. On move-in day, he & another man were still in the unit past 5pm, which was inconvenient after driving cross-country from California. The bathroom window was moldy; he claimed it was just aging. Cigarette butts were all around the property. I left the house cleaner than I found it & got my full deposit back
