A Real Gem!
I feel like I really lucked out finding the Tackle Box! It had everything I needed, plus the best landlords. The space is clean, newly updated, and the bed is super comfortable. The Wi-Fi is fast, which was especially important since I worked remotely. We had some connection issues in the beginning, but they were quick to replace the equipment and I didn’t have any problems after that. If anything ever came up, Chris and Tracey were always quick to resolve it. If Chris is ever in the woodshop, he’s very courteous about noise and always checks in to make sure it’s not an inconvenience. The front porch is a lovely place to soak up the morning sunshine, and it’s only steps from Halyburton Park with its great 1.25-mile loop. The neighborhood is quiet and feels very safe. It’s a great spot if you have a dog. Mine loved playing in the yard. If I’m ever back in the area, I would absolutely stay here again. Thanks again, Chris and Tracey!!!
Fantastic experience!
I stayed in the Tacklebox for about 5 months, for the Fall Semester at UNCW. I had such a wonderful time! Chris and Tracey are amazing, kind people who worked hard to create a beautiful place to stay, and were so helpful every step of the way. The unit was very clean and updated, and was a perfect size for one person. They provided nearly everything you'd need, including kitchenware, furniture, TV and Roku, and even some cleaning products. The neighborhood is very safe and all the neighbors are kind and welcoming. Even Chris and Tracey's dog, Darlington, is super sweet and loving. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for somewhere to stay in Wilmington who needs a cute and cozy place, with attentive and accommodating landlords.
