Comfortable and Convenient River North Stay for a Visiting Medical Student

I am a visiting fourth-year medical student in Chicago for a month-long sub-internship/away rotation at the SRALab. This centrally located River North apartment was ideal, with a quick 15-minute commute via the 66 bus and the option to walk home each day, which felt especially peaceful after long shifts. The location offers easy access to buses and CTA, plus great nearby food options on Wells Street, and the historic Green Door Tavern. I appreciated that the unit is above a hair salon and cleaners with other apartments in the building, so I never felt isolated. I felt safe throughout my stay, with the only minor downside being some occasional noise due to proximity to the highway. Curtis, the landlord, was extremely responsive and helpful, and the contemporary loft was fully stocked with everything I neededpots, pans, sauces, a welcome bottle of wine, and full amenities. Overall, it was a wonderful place to stay and a comfortable sanctuary after long hospital days.
