At $2,200/month, this rental was unacceptable. The home was inadequately cleaned despite a cleaning fee; the house manager said he didn't have time to clean it. My first report of roaches was ignored. Later I was told pest control wasn't in the lease and to buy it myself-yet it is included. There was a gecko infestation. The swamp cooler had issues from the start and couldn't be used during 90-100°F weather. The neighbor had approximately 5 dogs she could not control. They broke through the fence once and continued attacking it while outside. My dog and I were injured, making the backyard unsafe and unusable. Police became involved and the neighbor was trespassed from the property. I requested reduced rent because I could no longer use the backyard and was denied. I requested cameras for safety and was told no because they would have to be disclosed to renters. I left a month early because the unresolved safety problems and unfixed swamp cooler made remaining there unreasonable.
