Disappointing Winter Stay

The home was spacious and nice. There was no garage door remote which took 2 weeks for the owner to replace. There was no USPS mail service to the home. Upon arrival the pool was green with algae and had to be drained. It took at least a month before it was back in shape. The lease stated weekly pool service but there were numerous weeks when no one showed up. We babysat the pool people and communicated updates to the owner. At times he felt like he was annoying the home owners with his updates. We maintained the pool during the weeks the pool company was a no show. The daily jet noise from a nearby military base was often horrific. We helped maintain the yard area by pulling stray grass and killing weeds, and hosed off the pool deck periodically. We cleaned the home to as good as it was when we arrived. However, the owner still refused to refund the $200 cleaning fee even after our superb care.
