Heaven on the water!
We had the pleasure of staying here for June. Each day brought chances to enjoy the water and stunning Whidbey Island. The owners are incredibly kind; it was so sweet meeting them. The house is well stocked and very comfortable. The Island offers so much: we harvested fresh clams and mussels from Penn Cove, hiked through lush forests, watched sunsets over the Sound, and spotted seals, bald eagles, and even harbor porpoises from the yard! We loved the restaurants in Coupeville and the coffee drive-throughs across the Island. Getting to the mainland was fairly easy, either by ferry or via Deception Pass. We took day trips to Olympic National Park, the San Juans, and Seattle, and an overnight to the Cascades. Our summer was unforgettable. We truly hope to return. Thank you, Rick and Roni!
