Quiet sanctuary in North Austin

My partner and I have both really enjoyed our stay at this location. We are new to the area and wanted a furnished place to rent while we were searching for a new home to purchase. It's a quiet, peaceful neighborhood, tucked away off North Lamar. It's walking distance to neighborhood cafes and restaurants, and only a 10-15 minute drive to downtown. It's easily accessible to multiple highways so it's really convenient for commuting anywhere in Austin. Gene has been a wonderful host, he is very kind and always quick to respond to any questions. Highly recommend for a single or couple who needs a temporary, furnished stay in a quiet, beautiful neighborhood!

I really enjoyed my 4 month stay at Gene's. It was the perfect central location as someone new to Austin who wanted to explore the city on my downtime. Downtown is 10 minutes away, and the neighborhood is very quiet and peaceful. The home was well equipped with everything I needed, central air and heat work great for the bipolar Texas weather, and the little front yard was a huge plus. Originally I was nervous that the nearby train would be annoying because I have sensory issues, but I honestly am never disturbed by it whatsoever. If it's really quiet in the apartment you'll hear it go past, but theres absolutely no rumbling or shaking. Also, any minor issues I had were promptly attended to by Gene which I appreciated. The apartment was great for a single traveler and I would stay here again.

Loved this unit! Great location, active community, and pretty central to most things. Has all the necessities and is the perfect space for one. Gene, the landlord is very responsive and any minor issues I ever had during the stay were quickly addressed and fixed. Would totally stay here if Im ever back on an Austin contract.
